Leonard Vole- the main character(Protagonist), He is a male around the age of 40 years old
Romaine- (The Villian) an antagonist who murd Ms Emily French, she is a young lady that has lots of jealousy
Mr. Mayherne- a barrister who help solve the crime., he is an pretty old man that solved lots of mystery

Leonard Vole- They suspected Vole for murdering Ms. Emily. So Vole has only hopes towards Mayherne to solve the crime.
Mr. Mayherne- he was solving that who is the real culprit. he is a barrister and is living alone.

Leonard- He is a very positive guy and thinks about the future in an optimistic way. He likes to be carefree and look life as a joy.
Romaine- She accused her husband as the murderer of Ms. Emily. She felt jealousy and had a really complex life.
Mr. Mayherne- he is a person that believe in laws and thought that law can pass justice. he is a very complex man that always think of work because he wants to deliver the truth to everyone. he is happy about his life.

Leonard- Leonard was accused of murdering Ms. Emily but soon, facts compiling, turned out he was just a friend of Ms. Emily
Romaine- she is a sneaky rascal that kept the truth hidden that she was the actual murderer, but later revealed the fact that she was the one that killed Ms. Emily
Mayherne- He was in a dilemma in which who killed Ms. Emily. He had a hunch it wasn't Vole, then soon found out it was true, it was Romaine that murdered Ms. Emily

In my opinion, Romaine is the most developing character throughout the story. She had both teams, on the good and the bad. Then later, she sticked to the bad than the good
