Character Questionaires

1. Who is/are the main character(s) in the story? What does the main character look like?

    

     Leonard Vole- the main character(Protagonist),  He is a male around the age of 40 years old
     Romaine- (The Villian) an antagonist who murd Ms Emily French, she is a young lady that has lots of jealousy
    Mr. Mayherne- a barrister who help solve the crime., he is an pretty old man that solved lots of mystery

2. Describe the main character's situation  where does he/she live? Does he/she live alone or with others? What does the main character do for a living, or is he. she dependent on others for support?

    Leonard Vole- They suspected Vole for murdering Ms. Emily. So Vole has only hopes towards Mayherne to solve the crime.
    Mr. Mayherne- he was solving that who is the real culprit. he is a barrister and is living alone.

3.What are some of the chief characteristics (personality traits) of the character? How are these characteristics revealed in the story? how does the main character interact with other characters? Note the degree of complexity of his/her behavior, thought  and feelings; their appearances, their habits, mannerisms, speech, attitudes and values. What is the main character's attitude towards his/her life? is he /she happy or sad, content or discontented? Why?

    Leonard- He is a very positive guy and thinks about the future in an optimistic way. He likes to be carefree and look life as a joy.
    Romaine- She accused her husband as the murderer of Ms. Emily. She felt jealousy and had a really complex life.
Mr. Mayherne- he is a person that believe in laws and thought that law can pass justice. he is a very complex man that always think of work because he wants to deliver the truth to everyone. he is happy about his life.

4.What sort of conflict is the character facing? How is this conflict revealed? Is it resolved? If so, how?

    Leonard- Leonard was accused of murdering Ms. Emily but soon, facts compiling, turned out he was just a friend of Ms. Emily
    Romaine- she is a sneaky rascal that kept the truth hidden that she was the actual murderer, but later revealed the fact that she was the one that killed Ms. Emily
    Mayherne- He was in a dilemma in which who killed Ms. Emily. He had a hunch it wasn't Vole, then soon found out it was true, it was Romaine that murdered Ms. Emily 

5.Is any character a developing character? If so, is his change a large or a small one? Is it a plausible change for him? Is he sufficiently motivated? Is the change given sufficient time?

    In my opinion, Romaine is the most developing character throughout the story. She had both teams, on the good and the bad. Then later, she sticked to the bad than the good

Setting Questionaires

1. Place: the geographical location of the story – a country or a city, a large city or a small village, indoors or outdoors, or both.
The Story takes place in a small English City where Leonard and his wife lived

2. Time: the period in history, the season of the year, the day of the month, and/or the hour of the day in which the events of the story occur.
From what I read, the story didn't specify the place of the event, month, or date it had occurred

3. Social environment: the location of characters and events in a particular society and/or a particular social class (lover, middle, upper class).
Leonard Vole and Romaine are husband and wife. They are just an average family. The Ms. Emily, was considered to be a high class family

Plot Questionaires(The Witness for the Prosecution)

1. What is the story about? What are the main events in the story, and how are they related to each other?
    The Story is about a man naem Vole is arrested for a murder of a wealthy Widow. The main event is about Leonard Vole trying to defend himself. It is related by the trying to solve the mystery whether Leonard Vole tried to kill.

2. Are the main events of the story arranged chronologically, or are they arranged in aniother way?
    The events are arranged chronologically from rising to the climax to the conclusion

3. How is the story narrated? Are flashbacks, summaries, stories within the story used?
    The book is narrated by Leonard Vole's view point. There are flashbacks and summaries.
4. Is the plot fast-paced or slow paced?
    The Story is fast kind of fast-paced.
5. How do the thoughts, behaviors, and actions of characters move the plot forward?
    It makes the plot become more twisted, making Vole looking more guilty and guilty as possible.

6. What are the conflicts in the plot? Are they physical, intellectual, moral or emotional? Are they resolved? How are they resolved? Is the main conflict between good and evil sharply differnetiated, or is it more subtle and complex?
     The conflict is the killing of the wealthy widow, Emily French. There are emotional parts during story. The problem is resolved in the end. They are resovled right before the execution. The good and evil are sharply differnetiated and the story plot is complex.

7. What is the climax of the story and at what point in the story does the climax occur? Is the ending of the story happy, unhappy, or indereminate? Is it faily achieved?
    The climax of the story is whether Vole would be executed or not. The ending is indereinate cause you may be biased on who will get prosecuted..

8. Deos the plot have unity? Are all the episodes relevant to the total meaning or effect of the story? Does each incident grow logically out of the preceding incident and lead naturally to the next?
   The plot has unity, The episods are good and easily understoon. The incident grows really big and catches the reader's attention

9. What use does the story make of chance and coincidence? Are these occurences used to initiate, to complicate, or to resolve the story? How improbable are they?
   The story shows that life is really complex and life isn't fair. The occurences is used to initiate the reader to be caught in the book. The probabilty of having this thing is really high cause of the twistness during the change of the plot
