There are many symbols that could be found in this story. One example is from the story is when Romaine murdered Mrs. Emily because she thought that her husband, Vole, was cheating on here. If you think about the kind, its a form of jealousy. When people have jealousy and feels jealousy, they start to do stupid things, which then leads to a crime where she was frightened, so she accused her husband for the murder.

From what I read, I couldn't really find any particular symbolic meaning. But if you say, I would say a symbolic meaning would be jealousy. Like in the story, the murder happened due to the feelings of jealousy. So jealousy pretty much overtook Romaine and murdered someone.

Romaine, Wife of Leonard Vole, murdered Mrs. Emily due to the act of jealousy. When people have jealousy, they start to do stupid things then which it leaded to a murder.

In my opinion, there is a way to describe it. In the story, it said "We sow what we see" That in my opinion will be a symbolic setting due to the fact of murder.
